Having lived in a host of different places, but always proud of his upbringing in Houston’s 3rd Ward, H-Town rapper Show Louis is the epitome of what it means to be raised in Houston. As a Hip-Hop listener and fan Show Louis loves music because it acts a vice to help with the struggle of being a single parent after his daughter’s mother and his own mother passed away all within a short time period of time. Through it all Show Louis has remained strong despite life’s adversities over the past few years and now he’s ready to be heard.
Relying on his music as a way to escape the struggles of reality, Show Louis poured his heart into this project as the weed filled heart on the album artwork Love & Drugz suggests. To Show Louis this project reflects his ability to tap into the various sub-genres of Hip-Hop, making this a project all Hip-Hop fans can enjoy.
“For lack of a better word, drugs is a part of the creative process and the art represents the idea behind the project,” Show Louis explained. “I just need a beat and some time to myself. I wanted to make sure every song could appeal to a wide range of audiences, I really wanted to make sure that every song could stand on its own, from radio to the club or whatever, there’s no fillers on there.”
