Chi-Town is mourning the death of DJ Timbuck2 after the DJ, real name Tim Jones died of a cancer-related illness on December 19th 2015. He was just 34 years old.
During his short time with us, Timbuck2 established himself as one of Chicago’s most renowned DJs, hosting shows such as Go iLL Radio on 107.5 WCGI, which aired every Saturday night across the city.
Timbuck2 was known for showcasing local talent, helping them to break in to the industry and mainstream.
After the sad news spread of his passing, many of Chicago’s hip-hop stars took to social media in order to express their grief and pay homage to Tim “DJ Timbuck2” Jones.
